Portland Mutts 'n' Mogs is located in a relaxed, rural setting on fifty acres, only five minutes drive from Portland in south west Victoria. Please phone for an appointment. GROOMING Whether your dog requires just a nail trim or a full hydrobath, blow-dry and clip, Portland Mutts'n' Mogs offers professional grooming for all breeds of dog. Nicole has over 20 years experience as a professional groomer and specialises in hand trimming. Sliding glass doors open onto a private outdoor area with fishpond, plants and walkways. The 'Cat Nip Lounge' is designed to simulate the home environment and features a beautiful indoor room complete with large cosy armchair. Available now is our new luxury suite for cats - 'The Catnip Lounge'. All our feline guests have private access to 'The Playroom' which has scratching posts, toys, tunnels and access to a secure outdoor area for sunbaking or birdwatching. We provide comfortable 'igloos' and bedding or you may supply your own, along with deep covered litter trays which are cleaned twice daily. Each walk-in unit contains three levels connected by carpet-covered ramps and provides a secure and relaxing environment for our feline guests. CATS Cats are housed individually in our purpose-built cattery which provides an abundance of natural light and ventilation – complemented by evaporative cooling in summer and heating in winter. All kennels are serviced and disinfected daily. If they are sociable, relax or 'supervise' the adjacent grooming salon together throughout the entire day, our smaller guests are free to play, only returning to their kennels in the evening for a well earned sleep. The little dog's kennels are very sheltered and at night and during inclement weather, clear blinds are used to fully enclose the sleeping quarters making them warm and snug. Each kennel has a raised bed topped with comfortable bedding provided by us or you may bring bedding from home. For this reason, we keep this area as stress-free and 'homely' as possible. SMALL DOGS We realise that many little dogs live inside with their owners. All kennels are serviced and disinfected daily. We exercise all dogs individually, however if your dog is sociable he'll get a friend to play with. Residents have access to a large grass area twice daily where the activities include ball chasing, socialising, cuddles or gentle exercise. LARGE DOGS The kennel block for large dogs features twenty individual, secure quarters, each with weatherproof sleeping area with trampoline bed and a three metre covered run. As an added assurance, Portland Mutts 'n' Mogs complies with the Code of Practice for Boarding as required by the Victoria State Government and is a member of the PIAA (Pet Industry Association of Australia). Licensed for 60 dogs and 40 cats, Portland Mutts 'n' Mogs has been in operation since 1997 and since then the facilities have been continuously upagraded and improved to ensure a clean, comfortable and stress-free envronment for your valuable pets.
